The opportunity

Oyu Tolgoi LLC- People and Organization – HR Services and Support team is looking for three (3) student in the field of study in human resources, information technology, data management and or relevant for 6 months internship programme based in Ulaanbaatar office.

This internship programme is intended for high-performing students who wants to understand how world class mining business operates while gaining a first-hand experience of corporate culture. Interning for the Education Support team will provide great exposure to internal activities in one of the most dynamic and best performing units in the business. This opportunity will also enable the intern student to develop their interpersonal skills, teamwork and potentially help them to discover their career pathways and future aspirations.

What the role entails

  • Assist in HR service team in completing employee’s hard/soft file, archiving.
  • Obtain & organize approvals employee paperwork from new hire to termination including Director Resolutions, all types of Employment Agreements and amendments.
  • Keep employee information in confidential matter and ensure HR documents are reviewed by Legal, ER and other relevant stakeholders when necessary.
  • Obtain & organize approvals from employees and leaders in standard HR documents.
  • Provide generalist HR support to areas of responsibility in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Inputs into and supports process improvement initiatives for the service area.
  • When the information is not managed through the data management system, maintain, and monitor data in manual tracking sheets to ensure compliance with the national and global law and regulation.

What you will need for this role

  • Must be a Mongolian citizen.
  • Must be enrolled in a full time Bachelor or Master degree course of relevant majors at accredited Universities/Colleges in Mongolia or abroad and is expecting to be a 3-4th year student in the current school year in Social Science, Society, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or relevant qualification is preferable
  • GPA must be 3 or higher (On 4.0 scale)
  • Good verbal and written skills in English
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team member
  • Good skills in using Microsoft Office 365 environment and Excel programme at advanced level
