The opportunity

We are looking for four (4) Student Intern in Oyu Tolgoi LLC, Surface operations - Concentrator Operations Department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine site for 6 months internship programmed.

This internship programmed is intended for high-performing students who wants to understand how world class mining business operates while gaining a first-hand experience of corporate culture. Interning for the Education Support team will provide great exposure to internal activities in one of the most dynamic and best performing units in the business. This opportunity will also enable the intern student to develop their interpersonal skills, teamwork and potentially help them to discover their career pathways and future aspirations. learn mineral processing about concentrator processing.

What the role entails

  • Understand the shift schedule &, inside the limits of my authority, priorities and adjust the work within the shift;
  • Put safety first in all work to achieve safe production and act as a role model in demonstrating and living the OT green behaviors
  • Build good working relationships with everyone I work with
  • Be an effective team member of my leader’s team
  • Learn the effectiveness of the procedures & processes I use, and use data & apply problem-solving techniques to improve these over time
  • Give and seek regular and effective feedback to and from my leader and team members so they perform their work safely & productively
  • Provide clear guidelines on escalation
  • Spend time in the field
  • Ensure incidents are reported & investigated - & that follow up occurs
  • Actively learn the field processing experience, also steps of mineral processing.

What you will need for this role

  • Must be a Mongolian citizen.
  • Mineral processing, raw material processing and Metallurgy. Must be enrolled in a full time Bachelor or Master degree course of relevant majors at accredited Universities/Colleges in Mongolia or abroad and is expecting to be a 3-4th year student in current school year
  • GPA must be 3 or higher (On 4.0 scale)
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Mongolian and ability to work as a team member
  • Good skills in using Microsoft Office 365 environment and Excel programmed at advanced level
