The opportunity

We are looking for one (1) Maintainer in Oyu Tolgoi LLC Site Infrastructure and Services – Mechanical Maintenance department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine site 14 days on and 14 days off.

Maintain and execute maintenance activities as per assigned by Team leader and Supervisors in safety requirements & ensuring maintenance processes are consistently applied.

What the role entails

  • Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials
  • Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels
  • Fix Site wide building damages such as wall, roof & other structures
  • Assembling various structures
  • Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to conduct the job and determine dimensions and materials required
  • Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools
  • Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue
  • Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools
  • Conduct planned and unplanned inspections works as per schedule
  • Cleans up worksite debris.
  • Building interior decorating tasks such as installation of tiles, various types of painting jobs (wall, ceiling, floor), puttying up, silicon, linoleum installation and its not limited to above mentioned.
  • Participate to Concentrator Shutdowns for support mechanical maintenance works as required

What you will need for this role

  • Post-secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates (e.g. apprenticeship or trades certificate) or diplomas from academic or vocational training centres.
  • Maintenance service or relevant discipline is preferable
  • Relevant experience typically achieved through vocational trainings and equivalent practical experience or on-the-job training.
  • Has Mongolian Driving B license
  • Inquire team member skills
  • Will be advantage of South Gobi citizen
