The opportunity

We are looking for one ( 1) Coach in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Transformation & Business Improvement department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine site with roster 7 days on and 7 days off.

It is one /1/-year fixed term opportunity.

The purpose of this role is to build capability of frontline leaders through targeted training and coaching.

What the role entails

  • Coach Supervisors on selected safety leadership and business practices (e.g. Shift start meeting, Safety Interaction and Leadership in the Field)
  • Provide feedback and insights regarding the coaching progress for frontline leaders being coached. Also provides report and analysis on coaching progress with suggestions to improve overall department and/or teams KPI on safety, production, and organizational culture.
  • Observe and coach area Superintendents on her/his coaching and Leadership in the Field so that Superintendents become the best coaches themselves
  • When required by a partner in brokering SME specialists and advisor with operational teams.
  • Facilitate relevant training sessions to Supervisors and Superintendents if and when required.

What you will need for this role

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Or experience in improvement coaching and training roles, strong preference for leadership development experience.
  • Experience in management leadership development, behavior change/maturity would be an advantage.
  • Able to actively listen others, ask reasonable questions, and clearly and concisely explain your own conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through complex problems and resolve conflict.
  • Excellent analytical skills including critical thinking, logical reasoning and data analysis.
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint
  • High level of English verbal and written skills will be well regarded.
