The opportunity

We are looking for one (1) Advisor HSE Process Improvement in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – HSE Security – Safety and HSE Systems department based at Ulaanbaatar.

"Roles related to the design, development and implementation of health, safety and environment programmes to support businesses in managing their Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) risks as well as ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policy.

What the role entails

  • Conduct process analysis to evaluate current HSE processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and propose practical and risk-based solutions, including process improvement, automation, or technology enhancements.
  • Own OT HSES whole process of documentation such as collaborate with document owners, simplify and rationalize current documents, store and communicate the document updates, and routine reviews.
  • Own HSES Communication: lead critical learning development and HSES communication contents in Mongolian and English. Support development of HSES training and awareness content if required.
  • Lead or support HSE Process Improvement initiatives and activities employing continues improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma
  • Lead HSE systems and tools simplification and/or automation projects such as Enablon, GPO.
  • Perform routine support on Incident investigation reports, incident and injury classifications, actions and CRM forwood, Enablon, RTBS etc.,)
  • Support scheduled or unscheduled HSE assurance activities.

What you will need for this role

  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • Science, Engineering, Health, Safety, Process Improvement or relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skill
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Has experience in using standard MS Office products such as Excel and Power point
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
